Let me add my comments about Alumni day:

1. By the time I got there, the remaining food included one stone-cold piece of what might have been a zucchini or maybe a poker chip or a large toenail dipped in batter, and two bottles of warm Sprite.

2. I tried to get a couple of Danbury cop friends of mine to detain Adrienne so I could do another hour, but she outran them.

Thanks to WXCI's current management for inviting us and thanks to Hugh for hanging around the entire day and making us all feel welcome.

I am looking forward to next year, which I trust will include hot food, cold beer and Adrienne's mysteriously slashed tires the day before.

"A quick blurb about my experience on Alumni Day"

Well it was great I had such a good time djing again at WXCI. I was granted life membership in 2002 but I haven't had time to take a shift since then really. So it was very refreshing to play some of the older songs that I used to play during my active membership. And some of my old listeners actually called up and requested some stuff so it was really surreal. Plus it was great seeing my old friends from college, some of whom I haven't seen in years. Jesse Grosslin I haven't seen in years and on alumni day I had the shift before him which was really cool because when I first became a WXCI jock, he was my GM and I had the morning shift right before him so it was alittle bit of deja vu. So all in all it was a great time and I can't wait for the big 3 5 next year.

Well, it was an honor and privilege to represent the original XCI air staff at alumni day. It was nice to meet Justin and some of the current folks who so graciously lent us the airwaves for the day and it's always great to see Hugh (someone close to my own age!).

My shift went well I guess. I found out early that it's a good idea to turn the mike ON prior to speaking. But that may have been the only glitch. Most of the segues were as smooth as they were 34+ years ago and it was fun to mix some of the old stuff (Beatles, Byrds, Batdorf & Rodney, Moby Grape) with more contemporary tunes (The Contrast, Whiskey town, Cotton Mather). Like Hugh says, "It's as easy as falling off a bike."

I also had a chance to listen to some of the other shows on the ride up and back. Baker still has a gift for the microphone and Stephan did a great job with "3rd Stone."

In all it was alot of fun & I'm looking forward to seeing all for the 35th.
