Photos from Election Night 1974

Circa 1974, or perhaps 1976, but I really think 1974.

It was election coverage night.

The Echo office was across the hall from WXCI. The Yearbook was a little more down the hall, away from Seventh Ave, but before the Student Government office.

We used a lot of space that election night. Reporters were sent to all three party Headquarters, (An Independent Party ran Sarah Rothkoff).

That's a fascinating picture; I had no idea Greg had taken it. And surreal, too. John Forguites sitting in the background, looking like a double for Rick Grech on the Blind Faith album cover (no, not the original front cover photo of the girl with the...!) NOTE FROM RASPUTIN:

I think we should clarify that all four people are not Stan Mingo. The girl in the center is Pam McCluskey, now known as "Pam Brooks" on I-95 in Brookfield. The head just above her belongs to Dennis Martin, who I recall doing a Broadway cast recordings show on Saturday mornings. And if I'm not mistaken, the girl to the right rear is Mary Beth Marcinkowski, who is the current Mrs. Tom Zarecki. But I could be wrong, and I assume if I am, either Mary Beth or Tom will be the first to correct me. As to the topless torso the the lower right... that's rather odd, don't you think? I mean, there are pants, but the top seems to have the exact same pattern as the wall. Who or what is that? And if anybody's got any really good photo-enhancing software... who are the people in the photos on the wall?
